Terms Of Use

The Strategies Group PLC, "we" or "us" (as applicable) provides its website http://www.teachers.eu.com (the "Site") subject to the following terms of use (the "Terms"). These terms may be updated by The Strategies Group PLC from time to time without notice to you, and you should therefore review the Terms periodically for changes. They were last updated on 20th December 2004.

Teachers looking for jobs ("Teachers") will not need to register to browse the jobs on offer. Schools, Local Education Authorities, Recruitment Agencies or any other person or business wishing to place an advertisement for teachers ("Employers") and Teachers wanting to post their details on the Site will need to register. Employers will not need to register if they only wish to browse the jobs on offer. Teachers and Employers are collectively or individually referred to as "you", as appropriate, in the remainder of these terms.

If you do not agree with these terms, or if you are acting for an Employer and are not authorised to agree to these terms, you should not use this Site. If you do wish to use the Site, and have not already registered as a user, please do so once you have read and accepted these Terms.

Price

Teachers may register to use the site free of charge.

If you are an Employer, you will need to pay the applicable fee as detailed in the Services to Schools section of these Terms. If you are an Employer opting for an annual subscription, we will invoice you immediately following your registration. If you are a UK Employer opting to pay for each individual advert, we will send you an invoice once the advert becomes live on the Site. You agree to pay the invoice amount within fourteen days from the date of the invoice. If you do not pay the invoice amount within fourteen days of the date of the invoice, we reserve the right to remove any of your advertisements from the Site, and we may charge you interest on the outstanding amount at 1% above the current base rate at Barclays Bank. As soon as we receive payment, we will restore each advertisement to the Site, and our service to you will resume.

Schools using our placement service option (b) will pay in full prior to receiving the full CVs of the teachers they have selected.

International Schools and Employers based overseas will pay in full by credit card of direct bank transfer prior to any service being implemented.

New Agencies and School Recruitment Groups opting to take out an annual subscription will pay the first three months in advance by credit card prior to being given access to the website. Thereafter they will pay monthly in advance by Standing Order or annually by direct bank transfer or cheque

Employers who choose any of our website construction packages will pay 30% of the estimated cost when they place the order and the remainder on completion. If you do not pay the invoice amount within fourteen days of the date of the invoice, we reserve the right to remove any of your advertisements from the Site, and we may charge you interest on the outstanding amount at 1% above the current base rate at Barclays Bank. Hosting/advertising costs will be paid monthly in advance by standing order.

Contact with Employers and Teachers

This Site is made available by us solely for the purpose of allowing Employers to search for potential candidates and Teachers to search for vacancies in schools. By registering your details on this Site, you will be able to look up details of potential Teachers or Employers. You are responsible for making direct contact with your potential employer or employee.

Accuracy of information

We do not check the information provided by Teachers or Employers on the Site and you will need to satisfy yourself that the information provided is accurate. As The Strategies Group PLC has no control over the accuracy of the information provided, and does not endorse nor recommend Teachers or Employers in any way, you acknowledge and agree that The Strategies Group PLC is not liable for any information provided on this Site. Any dealing between you and an Employer or Teacher shall be between you and that Employer or Teacher, and The Strategies Group PLC shall not be responsible for any loss or damage that may arise from any such dealings.

Liability for content

You understand that you, and not The Strategies Group PLC, are responsible for all content sent from your computer on your behalf. You must not use this Site to display any material that is offensive, abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene, menacing, illegal (in any country), or in breach of copyright, trademark, confidence, privacy or any other rights, or which may cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety.

Although we do not check the accuracy of the information provided by you, or edit or generally review content posted by you, we may at our discretion refuse to post your information or comments on this Site if we reasonably believe that such material is inappropriate or might be in contravention of these Terms. We also reserve the right to remove immediately and without notifying you, any material already posted which we reasonably believe is inappropriate or otherwise in breach of these Terms.

If you discover material on this Site which you reasonably believe is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise illegal, or if anyone brings or threatens to bring a claim or legal proceedings against you relating to your use of this Site you must notify us.

Your liability

You shall be responsible for any losses, expenses or other costs incurred by The Strategies Group PLC as a result of any claims or legal proceedings by another person or business arising from your use of this Site in breach of these Terms.

In order for you to use this Site, it may be necessary for us to disclose your personal details to potential employers or employees. By registering as a Teacher or Employer, you indicate your consent for your personal data to be transferred to other person or business who also register as Employers or Teachers.

Vacancies posted on the Site may also appear on third party recruitment web sites pursuant to agreements from time to time between The Strategies Group PLC and the proprietors of such web sites.
